Smoke River is a short video about Issy’s summer in Hood River, Oregon where she was able to focus on her slider game and conclude a successful first year of park riding. She especially wanted to highlight the second half of the summer where relentless smoke filled the Columbia River Gorge for months on end due to countless manmade wildfires in the region.
The Eagle Creek fire impacted not only the lifestyle and wind, but also the health and safety of many nearby towns. Over 51,000 wildfires burnt in the USA alone this year and 90% of them were started by careless acts of humans. Thanks to the firefighters and some much needed rain, the fire was kept at bay and they are able to look forward to another amazing Oregon summer next year in the Slider Project park!
